The Modern Garden Company has taken this as a stimulus to enter into the design and manufacture of a unique shelter system called ‘Boom’. Unable to find a UK manufacturer the system is now manufactured in Germany where there is extensive experience in making high quality weather resistant systems of which ‘boom’ is now a market leader. ‘Boom’ is being sold under license in the European market on behalf of the Modern Garden Company, who owns the design rights. Meanwhile the system received one of its first installations at the new ‘Bosco’ hotel designed by Naomi Nesham of Directory Design Company Orca.


Designer Naomi Nesham (who also used Directory companies Lesco, Grohe, Signbox, Jan Cavelle and Boss Design) said she was delighted with the look, performance and ease of use of the ‘boom’ design.

Peter Rosborough of MoGaCo says “the stylish and contemporary design creates a strong visual aesthetic to complement any building style. It can be used to identify an entrance, define an area without the need for a physical barrier or feature the hotel identity printed onto the canopy to create a sense of ownership and identity”

Remote operated, Boom also has integrated wind sensors to automatically close it if conditions warrant, and can be fitted with a lighting system for evening use.

Now available only through the Modern Garden Company in the UK their ‘boom’ system offers complete flexibility in a sophisticated installation suitable for hotel , bar and restaurant installations.

All without the slightest hint of a bus shelter!
